Jim Hoskins asscended into Heaven on April 21, 2010, from his only daughter's """"Penny Wildman"""" home in Lexington, KY. He was 85 years old. His wonderful son-in-law, Dr. Bob Wildman, stayed by his side for 7 months. He died from a stroke.
Jim was always a happy man, loved golf, and his family; which included, his sister, Clarice Spiers of Washington, DC; his sister-in-law, Mrs. Calvin (Nancy) Hoskins of Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Jim won many championships in golf in Diamondhead, including the Mississippi Senior's Championship, which was his home since 1970. Jim had 19 legitimate hole-in-one's.
He retired with his wife, Dorothy, and spent many years in Florida at the Eden Condo & Phoenix X, next to the FloraBama at Perdido Beach on the Gulf of Mexico. He loved going to the dog track with all his friends, and spent many hours there.
Jim was preceded in death by his best friend, Leon Kelner, a famous pianist from the Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans.
Col. Jim was loved by all. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010, at 5:00 p.m. at the home of his wife, Dorothy. All his friends are invited to attend. Casual attire, in the backyard, come in your golf cart.
