Jewel Saucier
June 2, 1923 — August 15, 2018
It was early in the morning on August 15, 2018, when God sent His angels to escort the soul of Ms. Jewel Saucier from her tired, earthly body to be with her Lord and Savior in her new heavenly home.
Born in Gulfport, MS, on June 2nd 1923, Ms. Saucier lived most of her life in Saucier/Wortham, MS.
She was a loving and kind Southern Christian lady that was a guiding light to her family by the way she lived her life.
Mom was always there for us when we needed her. With her beautiful smile and her immeasurable love, she could ease our pain, wipe away our tears, and fill our hearts with hope. She was a true inspiration to each one of her many grandchildren, teaching them love and honor and setting an example of good Christian morals.
She retired from working at the Rebel Dip Drive-In Restaurant, where she had worked for more than 20 years. After retirement, she was an active member of several homemaker and craft clubs in Harrison County.
She was a member of Gateway United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mittie Warren Bush; her brother, Donald Shaw; and two great grandchildren, Joshua Davis and Austin Fayard.
She is survived by her sister, Dottie Diamond (Fred); her children, Rita Bacot (Jack), Larry "Bud" Saucier (Janet), Betty Caillier (Bob), Janice "Jan" Disciscio (Eddie), William "Rusty" Saucier (Boo), Michael "Mike" Saucier (Mitsy); 11 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Light of South Mississippi and Heart to Heart Hospice of Buna, Texas for their tender care of our mom during her time of need.
Special thanks to our sister and her husband, Betty and Bob Caillier and the entire Caillier family for the love and care given to our mother during her last years of life.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 25, 2018 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS 39503, with a visitation for family and friends from 9:30 AM until the service. Burial will follow at Saucier Cemetery.
