Jewel Ison

Jewel L. Ison, age 85, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 at her home in Perkinston. She was member of Perryville Baptist Church in McHenry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Emma Scarborough; her husband, Wallace Ison; her daughter, Deborah Ison Carroll; her brothers, Otis Scarborough, William “Buddy” Scarborough, Glenn Scarborough, and Leonard Scarborough; her sisters, Ethel Reed, Ella Mae Bond, Bernice Bond, and Eilene Scarborough.

Jewel is survived by her daughters, Ruby Ison Carroll (Wayne) and Martha Ison Franklin (Fred);  her 6 grandchildren; her 5 great-grandchildren; and her 2 great great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 9:00AM until 10:00AM on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A graveside service will be held at 10:30AM on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at Finley Cemetery in Gulfport.
