Jessie Saulters

Jessie LaRue Saulters, age 72 and a resident of Biloxi, died Thursday, November 29, 2007, in Biloxi.
Mr. Saulters, a native of Bassfield, was retired from the U. S. Army. He served during Korea and was a lifetime member of the Spencer Dawson #11 Chapter of the DAV in Jackson, and a life member of the VFW Post 4802 in Collins. Mr. Saulters was an entrepreneur at heart and was a successful businessman in the Pascagoula area. He was a member of Biloxi First United Methodist Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the BPOE for 46 years and most recently was a member of Elks Lodge #606, Biloxi.
Mr. Saulters was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas Clyde Saulters and Mildred Knight Saulters; sisters, Connie Austin and Irma Bounds; and a brother, Lewis Saulters. Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Saulters, of Biloxi; children, Jerry Glen Saulters, of Vicksburg; David LaRue Saulters and wife, Elsie, of Collins; Martha June Byrd and husband, Bill, of Saucier; William Clyde """"Bill"""" and wife, Judy, of Pelahatchie; and Reeda Bigot and husband, Ray, of Virginia Beach, VA; siblings, Douglas Saulters and wife, Barbara, of Collins; Betty Graf and husband, Sidney, of Picayune; Pauline """"Polly"""" Clark, of Brookhaven; Christine Maples, of San Antonio, TX; and Donnis Self, of Gilbert, AZ; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Biloxi First United Methodist Church on Sunday, December 2, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Monday, December 3, from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 11:15 a.m. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery in Biloxi.
