Jesse douglas "jd" Robinson

Jesse Douglas (JD) Robinson, 76 of Gulfport, died on Monday, April 03, 2006 in Gulfport. Mr. Robinson was a native of Harrison County, served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and worked at the VA as a steam plant operator. He was a member of Gateway United Methodist Church and was a member of Polar Star Masonic Lodge #154 Handsboro. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and time with friends.
Mr. Robinson is preceded in death by his father, Jesse Oren Robinson; his mother, Daisy Robinson and a son, Rodney D. Robinson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Joan Landrum Robinson; his children, Jackie (Ronnie) Hoda, Candy (Kurt) Ladner, Sally (Pascal) Gill, Chris (Loretta) Robinson; his grandchildren, Kyle Ladner, Karee Ladner, Jaron Hoda, Jesse Robinson, Mozart Gill, Alex Robinson, Zachary Gill and Rachel Robinson; his brothers, Carl Robinson and Frank Robinson and his sister, Marilyn Niewind.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 05, 2006 from 6:00-9:00pm at Gateway United Methodist Church, 16020 S. Swan Road, Gulfport, MS 39503. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 06, 2006 at 11:00am at the church, friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Coalville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Gateway United Methodist Church.
