Jesse Ray Bunn, Jr.

Jesse Ray Bunn, Jr., age 69 of Gulfport, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Ray Bunn, Sr., and Delite Rushing Bunn; his stepson, James “Mike” McGuire; and his mother in law, Evie Fayard.

Jesse is survived by his wife of 35 years, Juanita McGuire Bunn; his children, Jason Ryan Bunn (Deidre), Chantel Nicole Smith; stepdaughter, Tami McGuire Kersey (Otter) and Pam Ladner McGuire; his brother, David Bunn (Ginger); his grandchildren, Jeremy Smith, Hunter Smith, Hayden Smith, Brooklyn and Bennett Bunn, Chris McGuire (Taylor), Aron McGuire (Mary-Pate), and Cody-Mac Gorskey (McKenzie); his 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jesse attended Perk Jr. College and retired from AT&T after 36 years of service. He was Deacon at Belaire Baptist Church, a member of the Crew of Gemini and Coast Noble Shrine Club. He enjoyed golfing, playing with his grandchildren, and attending his grandsons' football games. Before falling ill, he loved doing yardwork.

Jesse passed away surround by family, peacefully at home after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Visitation will be held from 10-11:00 AM, Thursday, May 18, 2023, with service beginning at 11:00 am at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport,  interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
