Jerry D. Stiffler, age 70, of Pass Christian, died Saturday, November 20, 2010 in Pass Christian.
Born in Terre Haute, IN. As the youngest of six children, Jerry was athletic and excelled in sports, including high school basketball and football. He graduated with a B.A. in science from Indiana State University where he was a member of the TKA fraternity. He became of the first generation of professional computer scientists.
Jerry is survived by Carolyn Ruth (Riley) Stiffler, his wife of 50 years, and their 3 children: Scott Stiffler of Pass Christian, MS, who followed his father in information technology; Dr. Brian Stiffler of Beaver Creek, OH, who specializes in music education and performance; Sara Stiffler of Los Angeles, CA, who works in the film industry; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his brother, Don Stiffler and his sister, Norma McDonald.
A private funeral ceremony will be held for Jerry's immediate family.
Family requests donations be made to Edmundite Missions (www.edmunditemissions.org) in lieu of flowers.
