Jerry Mik, age 74 of Gulfport, MS, died on 7/18/2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family, following a 6 year battle with lung disease.
In his lifetime, Jerry served in the U.S. Army and was employed as a general superintendant of construction. He traveled extensively within the U.S. working on projects from Epcot Center to high-rise buildings in New York City. He was also an exceptional cook and enjoyed the pleasure of cooking for his family. Jerry married Sharon Sue Litterst in January, 1990 and they resided in the Chicago western suburbs until a recent move to Gulfport.
He is survived by his wife, Sue, 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and his sister, Marie Stachnik, of Davis, IL.
At his request, a private service will be held. Written condolences can be sent to P.O. Box 10677, Gulfport, MS 39505.
