He is a 1954 graduate of Orange Grove High School, a retired truck driver and had over 25 years of sobriety that he attributed to prayer and his affiliation with Alcoholics Anonymous. Dad loved spending time with his family and close friends, rebuilding old equipment, tending to his Black Angus cattle and watching Nascar. He especially loved watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren experience life. He inspired us all through his strong work ethic, sense of humor, love of life and his big and generous heart.
The family would like to thank the following groups of people who helped our father through his journey: The Staff of Kare-in-Home Health and Hospice, Cedar Lake Oncology, Dr. Lydia Latour's office, as well as, family and friends at Gulf Haven Mennonite Church, and a special thanks to Dr. Lynn Leatherwood and Sylvia.
