Jerry Ray Cuevas, Sr., age79, a resident of Gulfport, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022, in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Cuevas and Wille Shavers Cuevas; significant other, Sharon Ray; and brothers, Johnny Cuevas, Kenny Cuevas, Nolan Cuevas, Gerald “Pee Wee” Cuevas, and Charles Cuevas.
Jerry is survived by his children, Jerry Ray “JJ” Cuevas, Jr., Jason Cuevas, Courtney Ray (Scott Dedeaux); siblings, Willie Mae Peterson, JD Cuevas, Billy Cuevas, Nathan Cuevas, Jessie Mae (Archie) Holland; grandchildren, Jantzen Cuevas (Ashlyn), Drake Cuevas (Katelyn Rowell), Britne Cuevas, Kady Cuevas, Trevor Cuevas; great grandchildren, Jaxon Cuevas, Justin Cuevas, Joby Cuevas, Draestyn Cuevas, Eidynfaye Cuevas, Haven Northrup, Koltlynn Cuevas; and many nieces and nephews.
Jerry served our country by enlisting in the U.S. Army. Later in life he spent most of his time rebuilding starters and alternators. He was also known by many for his mullet nets, which was his passion.
Jerry was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
The visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, February 6, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd., Pass Christian from 12:00pm – 2:00pm, the graveside service will be at 2:00pm in Wolf River Cemetery.
