Jerry had two brothers, Gary and Terry.

Jerry dedicated 20 years of his life to serving the United States Air Force as a Tech within the Strategic Air Command (SAC). He was an electrician working on B52s and was a supervisor in charge of the Aerospace ground equipment section. He was awarded the Masters Technician Award, Air Force Commendation Medal, AF Good Conduct Medal, AF Outstanding Unit Award and the AF Longevity Service Award.  In his leisure time, Jerry found joy in playing bridge with his bridge group and taking morning walks in the mall. Additionally, he delighted in cross-stitching during his free time and cherished dining out with his dear friend Ellie.

A devout man who read the Bible daily, Jerry's faith was an important cornerstone of his life.

Jerry was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Fannie L. Cade, who passed away in 2012 and was laid to rest in Columbus, MS.
