Jerrie Lynn Huxley, age 55, of Gulfport, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Huxley was a native of Wichita, Kansas and has been a long-time resident of Gulfport. She served in the U.S Army, serving faithfully until a medical discharge was required. She was a homemaker and a loving wife & mother. She had a heart to help the homeless and her joys in life were raising animals, reading, tattooing, crocheting, wood burning and watching scary movies.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lucielle Helen Schmill and her aunt, Barbara Schmill.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, LeMoin Huxley; her father, Jacob Eugene Schmill and his wife, Sharon; her mother, Sherry Lynn Jackson and her husband, Joseph Phillips; her three children, Ilisha Marie Schmill, Austin Cole-Eugene Hovater and Brittany O’dell Joseph and her husband, Mark; her three siblings, Courtney, Jamie and Shawn Schmill; and her eight grandchildren, Ariana O’dell Cook, Kamerin LeMoin Huxley, Maliyan O’dell Joseph, Bridget Lucille Adkins, Julia Elaine Adkins, Greyson Adkins, Patrick Adkins and Andrew Franklin.
Friends are invited to join the Huxley family for a time of remembrance and a celebration of Jerrie’s life on Friday, January 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. At the close of the visitation, we will play a special song and a closing prayer.
