Jeri Ann Zimmerman

Jeri Ann Zimmerman, age 74, homemaker, New Orleans native, and longtime Long Beach resident died September 27, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents Anna Cortinas Dulcich, Percy Vay and her infant granddaughter Danielle Victoria Parker.
She is survived by her five children, Pamela Bohlke Braud (David), Michael Bohlke (Wendy) and Kate Bohlke all of Long Beach, Thomas Bohlke (Sherry) of Olive Branch and Victoria Keenum (Rusty) of Ocean Springs; her brother, Bruce Vay of Austin, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; one niece and one great niece; and also her lifelong best friend, Margaret Fleming and family of New Orleans, LA.
She was a 1956 graduate of St. Joseph Academy in New Orleans; she was chapter mom of the Phi Kappa Fraternity of Long Beach from 1974 to 1978. She was a member of Pete Fountains' Better Half Wives Club in New Orleans and also a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Long Beach.
She enjoyed her family, was an avid reader and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed and thought of often.
The family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice, especially Meghan Garriga, Rachel Walker, Serieana Darden and all the compassionate staff at St. Joseph's; and also Norman McDonald of St. Thomas church and Chaplin Jim Prator of St. Joseph's.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 12 Noon at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Long Beach. A visitation will be held prior to mass from 10:30 am to 12 Noon. Interment will follow in the Long Beach City Cemetery.
