Jeremy Blurton

It is with great sorrow that the family of Jeremy Blurton announces his passing on June 10, 2021, in his home of Biloxi, MS.

Jeremy was born May 24, 1997, in Jackson, MS, the son of Elsa Rios and Christopher Blurton. He attended grade school in Mississippi and Florida and graduated from Edgewater High School, Orlando, FL in 2015. He attended Valencia Community College, in 2019 he moved to Biloxi, MS to continue his education. During his time at Gulf Coast Community College, Jeremy was on the 4.0 President's Scholar List each semester.

He became a father on February 15, 2020, to a beautiful baby boy, Oliver Daniel Blurton. Over the years, Jeremy enjoyed fishing, reading, music, gaming with his core group of friends from childhood, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed traveling, and two of his favorite places to visit were Oregon and Costa Rica. In his earlier years, he was involved in activities such as a Central Florida basketball league, Orlando Fire Department Explorers, Edgewater High School ROTC, Band, Drama and Crew.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joe Blurton in September 2015.

Jeremy is survived by his son, Oliver Daniel Blurton; fiancé, Lindsey McClees of Biloxi, MS; his loving mother, Elsa Rios-Cronley; step father, Freddie Cronley of Biloxi, MS; his caring father, Christopher Blurton; his step mother, Eileen Graf of Orlando, FL; his siblings, Bryce Griffing and Rebekah Griffing of Biloxi, MS; his grandparents, Ricardo Rios of Flowood, MS, Karen Rios of Braxton, MS, Don and Kay Varner of Canton, MS, Evelyn Blurton, of Mt. Olive, MS; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will have a private Celebration of Life for Jeremy to be determined later.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests people donate to a local administration providing substance abuse and mental health services of their choice in Jeremy's memory.

Our family would like to thank everyone for all the love and support we have received during this difficult time.
