Jere Peterson Hayward, age 83, and a resident of Long Beach, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Memorial Hospital of Gulfport.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Theo Evenson and step-father, Clarence "Eve" Evenson; and her husband, Robert "Bob" Hayward.
She is survived by her three children, Robert Hayward (Wendy) of Gulfport, Kathy Kleppner (Tim) of Kiln, Stanley Hayward (Sabrina) of Miramar Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Teresa Brooks, Paul Hayward, Keith Hayward (Lauren); five great-grandchildren, Breanna, Kaitlyn, Madison, Logan, Kaden; one great-great-grandson, Kanen; two brothers, Michael Evenson (Sharon), Russell Evenson (Sylvia); one sister, Anne Sneed; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Long Beach and retired from the Social Security Administration, where she worked for many years. She loved her grandchildren very much.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 3 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd. Long Beach with visitation one hour prior to services. Following the service, interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
