Jennifer Lee Holmes, age 41, of Long Beach, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011, in Houston, TX.
She was a resident of DeKalb, IL until moving to the coast in 1998. She enjoyed outdoors, especially her garden, and she was a staunch supporter of her sons athletic and band programs. Jennifer remained strong throughout her illness, staying positive and keeping a smile. Her greatest joy was her children and her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chad E. Holmes; her son, Nathan Thumm; and her father, Fred Thumm.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Brad Bute, Matthew Bute, her mother, Patricia Thumm; 5 siblings, Kathleen Hubbard, Deborah Lovely, Judith Rapier, Fred Thumm, and Laura Opfer; 1 granddaughter, Brooklyn Bute; close family friend, Johnathan Rose; and numerous other relative and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd., Long Beach. The funeral service will be Thursday at 10 am in the funeral home chapel.
