Jennifer Griffis

Jennifer "Jennie" Havens Griffis, age 72, of Diamondhead, MS, passed away peacefully Monday, June 21, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her family. Jennie was born on Valentine's Day in 1949 and was married to Leon Harvey Griffis who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are parents Fred and Betty Havens and grandparents Amos and Mary Alice Humphrey.
Jennie is survived by son, Michael Vandyke and wife Melissa, daughters Jessica Masaracchia and husband Ricky, Heather Lee Rando, and Stefanie Poulton and husband Jeremy, 14 grandchildren, Justin Vandyke and Alexis Kahle, Kevin Vandyke, Bryce and Chelsie Warren, Skyler and Ariane Griffis, Celine Vandyke, Devon Rando, Kayla Rando, Caleb Rando, Emmalyn Poulton, Julia Poulton, Mason Lay, Kyla Vandyke, Aaliyah Vandyke, Kayden Vandyke, and 3 great grandchildren, Kahmyrie Griffis, Collin Vandyke, and Chandler Vandyke. Also surviving is sister, Kathy Gilbert, and brother, Kenny Fite, both of Florida.
Jennie retired from a career as a Scopist. She was a fabulous cook, enjoyed feeding friends and family, and was known as "Grams" to all. She absolutely loved gadgets so Amazon will certainly miss her. She always had fun, especially when listening to her favorite band, The Castaways, sing "Jenny Jenny". Mostly, however, she lived and loved to be with her children and beautiful grandchildren.
The visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, from 10:00am until the funeral service at 11:30 am both at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd., Pass Christian, MS. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery where Jennie will be laid to rest with her husband Harvey.
