Jennifer Lynn (nee Gonsoulin) Andrus, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 13, 2024, in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, with her family by her side after a valiant battle with breast cancer. She was born October 14, 1983, in Biloxi, Mississippi, where she grew up surrounded by love and community.
A graduate of St. Martin High School, class of 2001, Jennifer pursued her passion for education and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Education from William Carey University. Her dedication to teaching was evident in her role as a librarian at Three Rivers Elementary School, where she was also honored as Teacher of the Year in 2015. Her warm presence and nurturing spirit touched the lives of many children, igniting their love for reading and learning.
Jennifer’s life was a tapestry woven with cherished moments spent with her family and friends. She had a special gift for bringing people together, often hosting memorable gatherings that created lasting memories. Her laughter and joy were infectious, making everyone feel welcomed and appreciated in her company.
She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years Ben Andrus, and their two precious children, Addison and Abel. She also leaves behind her father, Sheppard Gonsoulin; brother, Jeff Gonsoulin; sister-in-law, Jolie Andrus; as well as her mother-in-law, Verna Andrus and father-in-law, Andrew Andrus. Jennifer was the proud aunt of Catie Marion, Tyler Andrus, George Marion IV, and Case Gonsoulin, and her beloved canine companions Chloe and Luna, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Jennifer is preceded in death by her mother, Linda Gonsoulin; and her brother, Sheppard Gonsoulin, who are remembered with love and fondness. Their spirits live on in the hearts of all those who knew them.
Jennifer Lynn Andrus’s legacy will forever be imprinted on the hearts of all who loved her. She was a beacon of light, an embodiment of strength, and a testament to the power of love and family. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
In honor of Jennifer please remember to always be loving, genuine, kind, supportive, and live each day to the absolute fullest.

Visitation will be held at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd, Biloxi, on Monday, November 18, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the time of services at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest next to her mother at D'Iberville Memorial Park.
