Jeffrey Bernard Powers

Jeffrey Bernard Powers, late of Biloxi, was born on September 22, 1965, in Tampa, Florida. He passed away suddenly on October 1, 2024, in Gulfport, Mississippi, after bravely enduring a lengthy illness.

Jeffrey was a proud graduate of St. Martin High School, where he laid the groundwork a life characterized by dedication, resilience, and a love for the outdoors. As a veteran of the U.S. Army, he served his country with honor, embodying the values of bravery and commitment that are hallmarks of military service.

Throughout his life, Jeffrey found joy in simple pleasures, particularly the tranquility of fishing and the rejuvenating experience of walking outdoors. These activities brought him peace and happiness, reflecting his appreciation for nature and the world around him.

He leaves behind a loving family who will miss him dearly. His children include Tasheena (Robert) Powers, J.T. (Katelyn) Powers, Anna Powers, Kathryn Powers, Elijah Powers, Jacob Powers, Douglas Arguelles, and Joseph Arguelles. He was also a cherished grandfather to Robert Evan Eckles. Additionally, Jeffrey is survived by his siblings: Lorraine Claybaker, Joey (Maria) Powers, and Heidi (Mitchell) Thornton.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Bernard and Gisela Wilhelmina (nee Muhl) Powers, and his brother, John Powers.

His memory will forever be held close by all who knew him, reflecting the cherished moments and lasting impact he made on those fortunate enough to call him family and friend.
