Jeffrey Lloyd

Jeffrey William Lloyd, age 75, of LaPlace, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022 in LaPlace.

Jeff was a born in Wales, and a resident of LaPlace.  He worked for Fiffes Shipping, Ebbw Vale Fire Department, Reardon Smith Shipping, Moran & Seymour Surveyors, Morco China, and National Cargo Bureau. Jeff received his 1st Mates License and was in the British Merchant Navy. He enjoyed playing & watching soccer and Rugby. He also enjoyed bowling and the Saints.  Jeff just recently joined the Catholic church and also became involved with the Knights of Columbus.  Jeff’s favorite phrase was “Today, Tomorrow & Always.”

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Jeffrey’s name to Ascension of Our Lord in LaPlace, LA.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Idwal & Nancy Lloyd; and his brothers-in-law, Graham Boobier and Geoffrey Pearce.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Robin L. Lloyd of LaPlace; his children, Megan L. Vandenborre (Brent) and Gareth W. Lloyd; his sisters, Barbara Boobier, Ann Pearce and Susan Rowe (Simon); his grandchildren, Abigail Vandenborre and Greyson Vandenborre; his nieces, Gillian Boobier, Anne Marie Pearce and Kathryn Pearce; his nephews, Jonathan Pearce and David Rowe; and other loving family members and friends.

Friends are invited to join the Lloyd family for visitation and services on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.  Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., with the Service at 11 a.m.
