Mr. Jeffrey Linwood Kennon, age 52, of Perkinston, left this earthly world on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, to be with his Heavenly Father.
Mr. Kennon was born in Biloxi to Talmadge and Nelda Switzer Kennon at Keesler Air Force Base on Christmas Day in 1959. He graduated from Gulfport High School in 1978 and joined the U.S. Marine Corp. After his service, he went to work for Mississippi Power where he worked his way from substation construction to his present position of Senior Power System Coordinator. He was a member of Northwood Church in Wiggins and enjoyed fishing and spending time cooking with family. He was the rock for his family and was very well respected and loved by his friends. He will be deeply and sadly missed.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Linwood and Jeanetta Switzer, and Gerald and Fannie Kennon of TN.
Mr. Kennon is survived by his loving wife whom he spoiled rotten, Rene' of Perkinston; children, Matthew James Kennon of Biloxi, Lauren Paige Lewis (John Clint Lewis) of Ocean Springs, Ryan Talmadge Kennon of Biloxi, and Madalyn Rose Kennon of Perkinston; parents, Talmadge and Nelda Kennon of Saucier; siblings, Barry J. Kennon of Gulfport, and Pamela Davis of Gulfport; grandson, Cannon Cole; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012, at Northwood Church, Highway 49N, Wiggins, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in the church sanctuary at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wiggins.
