Jeffery Michael Larsen, a Hancock County businessman, age 55, and a resident of Kiln, died, Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Gulfport.
Mr. Larsen was a graduate of Hancock North Central High School in 1971. He received Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi where he played football. He was currently employed with Dupont Delisle. Representing Dupont, Mr. Larsen was a graduate of the Hancock County Leadership Class and a member of the Hancock County Chamber of Commerce. He served on Governor's Commission on Recovery, Rebuilding, and Renewal representing Hancock County. He enjoyed boating and fishing. He was loved by his family and friends and gave generously of his time and talent.
Mr. Larsen was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Haas Larsen; his maternal grandparents, Melva and Sam Haas and his paternal grandparents, Alfred and Azelene Larsen.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Welch Larsen of Kiln; a son, Cole Larsen, of Kiln; his father, Eric Larsen; two brothers, Eric Larsen, Jr, and his wife, Barbara, and Tommy Larsen and his wife, Micki, all of Kiln; and five nephews.
A visitation will be on Friday, December 5, 2008 from Noon until 2:00 PM at THE RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Bayou Coco Cemetery, Kiln.
