Jeff Miller

Jeff Miller, age 70, of Long Beach, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011, in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Jeff Miller, Sr. and Otis Ferguson Miller; grandparents Madge and Irvin Ferguson, and George and Mackie Miller.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Jimmie Jane Harrod Miller. Jeff had two sons and one daughter: Jeffrey Miller and Cathie, James Miller and Jeri, and Donna Miller Willis. He had eight grandchildren: Brooke Miller Simmons and John, Amanda Bryant, Justin Miller, Jon Miller, Jharrod Willis, Jackson Willis, Nick Miller and Shelby Willis. He had four great-grandchildren: Madison Simmons, MacKenzie Simmons, Dylan Bryant, and Ashlynn Bryant. He is also survived by two brothers and one sister: Jerry Miller and Margaret, Jack Miller and Lorraine and Janis Miller Brannon and David, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a 1958 graduate of Long Beach High School and attended Perkinston Junior College. Jeff retired with 36 years service from BellSouth Telephone Company. He was instrumental in hurricanes Andrew and Katrina rebuilding the communications systems. He was currently employed by Byers Engineering Company.
He was an avid fisherman and loyal New Orleans Saints and New York Yankees Fan.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 24, 2011, where friends may visit from 6-8 PM, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Comission Rd., Long Beach.
Graveside services will be private at Long Beach City Cemetery.
