Jay Warren

Jay A. Warren, age 56, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019.
Jay was a native of Sterling, Colorado.  He grew up in Lake Land, Florida and Batavia, Illinois.  Jay graduated from Batavia Senior High.  He was a forklift operator, painter, and maintenance supervisor.
Mr. Warren was preceded in death by his parents Cary A. Warren and Joyce E. Warren.
Jay is survived by his son, James Warren Eckblade (Stephanie) of Batavia, Illinois; his siblings, Justin Warren, and Christi Warren Johnson (Greg); his granddaughter, Gracie Eckblade; his nephews, Matthew Johnson (Shannon Chappelear) and Jason Douberly; his nieces, Brittany Johnson, Stephanie Johnson, and Brandi Johnson; and his 9 great nieces and nephews.
Jay had a love of music, art, animals and the outdoors.  He was a creative writer, and was full of strength and determination.  He will forever be in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donation to be made to Canon Hospice, 1520 Broad Avenue Ste. 500, Gulfport, MS  39501.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2019 at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport, Mississippi.  A reception will be held following the service at the Johnson's home.
