Jay Kleinman, age 57, of Mandeville, LA, passed away on September 1, 2008 in Gulfport, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto Kleinman and Anne Kleinman.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Fayard Kleinman, of Mandeville, LA; his children, Remy Catherine Kleinman, Margaux Carraway Kleinman, and Woolfgang Leitner Kleinman, all of Mandeville, LA, and Jennifer Murphy, Julie Murphy, and Annie Murphy, all of Long Beach, MS; two sisters, Betty Silverberg and her family of Mandeville, LA and Deborah and David Bergeron and family of Houston, TX; and nieces and nephews.
He was of the Jewish faith, loved sailing and was a past member of the Ponchartrain Yacht Club. He was past owner of The Sandwich Company, and Chiquitta's Mexican Café in Waveland, MS and J's Restaurants' in Waveland, MS, Mandeville, LA and Covington, LA. Jay was a loving father and husband.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2008, at 11:00 AM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose, LA.
