He was preceded in death by his wife Linda, his parents Verlon and Claudine and his brother Wayne.

Jay served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and retired with Honorable discharge after almost 21 decorated years of service. During his time in the military, he met the love of his life Linda Louviere Davis in 1970 on a blind date, married shortly after on July 19th, 1970. During their 48 years of marriage, they had 4 children Eddie, Tim, Tiffany and Blu and acquired several not officially adopted children and grandchildren before Linda’s passing in 2018. After retiring from the military, Jay went on to work another 15 years of Civil Service between the Pascagoula Naval Base and Keesler Air Force Base. After he retired, Jay spent most of his time with his children and grandchildren and always spoke on how proud he was of all of them. Jay loved playing games on his tablet, watching cooking shows and home makeover shows. Jay was always a man of his word and would help anyone in need. He always said his door was always open. Jay will be truly missed by so many, but we all know his love Linda was waiting for him at Heaven gate.
