Janine never met a stranger and was truly interested in the lives of each of her friends and acquaintances. A rural route carrier for many years she not only delivered mail and packages but developed lifelong friendships with those on her route; she often checked in on her mail route friends when something seemed amiss or she knew they needed a kind word. She had a passion and natural talent for photography, but was also skilled at fine art painting, drawing via stipple and even pottery. She loved reading and learning. She grew quite fond of motorcycle riding and it was there she met some really great, lifelong friends during their annual Shark Week ride. When she was on the coast, she enjoyed her "motorcycle on the water", her jet-ski. She was a mighty fine cook, especially southern cuisine and the one year she entered the contest, she took home First Place for her gumbo in the amateur division at the annual Biloxi Seafood Festival. She was fond of all animals, both domestic and wild. And to this day a collection of wild turtles she rescued seek her out at her home for the food and attention she gave them. She was fearless, adventurous, authentic, strong-willed and extremely smart and encouraged us all to live our lives fully. She loved the beach, the sun, storms, mountains, the desert southwest, and admired all things Native American especially the ancient way of honoring our land, sea and sky. She wasn't overly fond of crowds but preferred the silence and going off the beaten path. She loved a cold, craft beer on a hot day and a nice rum drink with a good view. She was a certified member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She lived life to the fullest until the end.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Virginia Hoskins.
Janine is survived by her son, Cody Seymour, his wife Katie, and their daughter Summerlyn of Ocean Springs, MS; her long time companion, Darrell Adams of Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Alicia Hoskins of Ventura, CA and Brenda Mackay, of Hot Springs, AR; and numerous friends and extended family who will all miss her deeply.
