Janie B. Collins, age 81, resident of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2008, in Gulfport.
Born to the late Otis Dallas Glaze and Rose Lee Lyle Glaze in Scott County, Ms. Collins had been a resident of the Coast for 58 years. She was a personal caregiver, wonderful mother, and was of the Baptist faith. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, and cooking for all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hugh """"Cuz"""" Collins; grandchild, Robert Robinson; three brothers and one sister.
She is survived by children, Bea McCollister of Gulfport, Jimmie Brooks of Pass Christian, Willie Ray Robinson and his wife Laura of Washington, D.C., and Tommy Cameron and his wife Sharon of Vancleave; 15 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Highway 49 North, Gulfport, at 10 a.m., where friends may visit from 9-10 a.m. Burial will follow in Evergreen Gardens.
