Janice Saucier

Janice Saucier, age 73 and a resident of Kiln, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2012, in Kiln. She resided in the Standard Community with her husband, Clifton Joseph Saucier, Tiffani, Christian, and Jaxson.
Janice was preceded in death by her father, Kire C. Mitchell, Sr.; her mother, Corelia Necaise Mitchell; her daughter, Carolyn Diana Saucier; her son, Rodney Wade Saucier; her grandchild, Clifton Lee Luke; her brothers, Kire C. Mitchell, Jr. and Marshall Mitchell; and her sisters, Mignon Bonvillion, Margie Woods, and Ruby Farve.
She is survived by her husband; her sons, Conrad Joseph (Susan) Saucier, Dale Wayne (Kitty) Saucier; her daughter, Peggy (Ray) Luke; her sister, Muriel (Leamon) Necaise; her brothers, Leland (Mary Carolyn) Mitchell, Russell Mitchell, and Melvin Mitchell; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Janice spent her life caring for her family. Janice wore many hats and could create anything with fabric, flowers or from almost nothing. Along with her sister, Muriel, she made wedding dresses, costumes for carnival krewes and anything for family and friends. Janice worked at the Pass Christian Garment Factory for many years, was a hairdresser, and ran the uniform department for the Silver Slipper. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, from 6pm-9pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road in Pass Christian.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 23, 2012, at 12'Noon at St. Matthew's Catholic Church in White Cypress, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Standard Sandhill Cemetery in Hancock County.
