Janice Marion

Janice Lewis Marion, age 83, of Gulfport, MS, passed away on February 9, 2022.

Janice was born in Franklinton, Louisiana and grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  She attended Jones County Junior College and was the secretary to the Payroll Manager at Ingalls Ship Building. Janice loved the New Orleans Saints, LSU Football, Ballroom dancing and the Senior game night with friends at Bayou View Baptist Church.  She was a member of Bayou View Baptist Church and was a supporter of Youth for Christ.

Janice was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Foil; her mother, Juanita Grimes; and her brother, Carter Foil.

Janice is survived by her children, Jim Marion, Jr. (Jan), Julie Cuevas (Mark), Jeff Marion (Tammy) and Joni Pickett;  her grandchildren, Jessica Elise Marion, Justin Daniel (Catie), Jamie Marion, Jacob Daniel (Patricia), Thomas Miller, Joseph Daniel, Courtney Spiva (James), Katherine Walls (Chris), Jackie Marion, Christopher Pickett, Chloe Pickett, Valerie Dillard (Harold), Daniel Marion, Kiersten Marion, and Amber Marion; her great grandchildren, Hannah Miller, Jude Daniel, Theophilus Daniel, Eisley Daniel, Marion Daniel, Olivia Daniel, Benjamin Daniel, Lana Dillard, and Derrick Dillard; her nephews, Chuck Marion, and Maury Foil; her nieces, Tammy Smith, Kim Bell, Jennifer Foil, and Stephanie Kelly.

Janice never met a stranger.  She loved to travel, she loved fellowship and enjoyed fresh gulf seafood.  Her passion was the word of God, her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as her church family.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

There will be a Memorial Service, February 26 at 10:00 a.m. at The Mission, 21025 Success Road, Saucier, MS 39574.
