Janice Fay Leake, age 84 of Hancock County, MS, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Percy Garriga and Effie Moran Garriga; son, James E. Leake.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jerry W. Leake; her children, Charles Leake (Molly), Tina Lewis (Steve), and Bryan Leake (Julie); her siblings, Bert Garriga (Fonda), Connie Bowman (Dennis), Bruce Garriga (Tara), and Ricky Garriga (Amber); her grandchildren, Brandi Triplett (Lance), Colin Leake (Peyton), Bradley Lewis (Jordan), Kendall Leake (Logan), Trent Lewis, Dylan Prince (Chantel), Dustin Prince, and Darren Prince (Mallory), her great-grandchildren, Linkin, Jaxin, Waylon, Maverick, Ainsley, Camron, and Hadley; 18 nieces and nephews.
Janice loved spoiling her grandchildren, playing bingo, and baking “goodies” for everyone. Janice’s legacy of kindness, compassion, and caring for her family and friends will continue to inspire those who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. The family would like to thank everyone for many heartfelt condolences and prayers on our behalf.
Visitation will be 10:00AM to 12:30PM , Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Pass Christian. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30PM. Interment is in Alphonse Malley Memorial Cemetery in Kiln.
