Janice Marie Goggin passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, March 19, 2017. Janice lived for the Lord and walked in faith knowing that she was the fighter she was because of Him. A cancer survivor and double transplant recipient, she knew that God carried her through for a reason. She was a testament to family and friends and was a beacon for her Savior.
She was a licensed cosmetologist and she worked at Swingsters Sewing Factory in Gulfport until it closed. She the retired from South Mississippi Regional Center in the early 2000's when she became ill. She never forgot the people that touched her life and gave her purpose to carry on. They were her family and family was everything to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Alma Jackson; a brother, Tommy Jackson, Sr.; a sister, Anita Kay Jackson; and a nephew, John Fredrick Jackson.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Paul Goggin II and daughter-in-law, Esther; her grandchildren, Jacinda Garner, Hannah and Alena Brans, and Ian and Van Goggin; her brother, Lloyd Jackson, Sr. and his wife, Lisa; her sisters, Brenda Loden and her husband, Bill, and Rose Dunn and her husband, LeRoy; six nephews, Tommy Jackson, Jr., Gene Jackson, Lloyd Jackson, Jr., Taylor Baker, Thomas Baker, Robert Barron; five nieces, Phyllis Raymond, Lizzie Clark, Tracy Baker House, Samantha Riley, and Jourdan Dunn; thirteen great nephews, eight great nieces, four great-great nephews, and one great-great niece.
Special thanks to a beloved nephew, Tommy Jackson, Jr. and longtime family friend Jacob for helping with her appointments and her care.
