Janice Chenevert

Janice Julia Askelund Chenevert transcended into heaven on the wings of angels into the arms of her beloved husband Roy in the Kingdom of God, on Wednesday, February 6, 2019.
Janice was born in New Orleans to the late Henry and Beryl Askelund.
She is survived by four daughters, Suzanne Prachiel, Charlotte Hagy (John), Jennifer Chenevert, and Janis Hayden (Lee); sisters, Eunice Phillips (David), Joycelyn Munson (Mark), Marilyn Krone (Charles); three grandsons, Justin Bailey, Ryan Bailey, Christian Hayden; and one granddaughter, Noel Hayden.
Jan was a loving mother and Grannie. She spent many years, selflessly, as a caretaker for others. She thought of others first and volunteered many hours of her time at the schools and St. George Anglican Church. She touched many lives with her love, kindness, strength, faith, generosity and compassion. She enjoyed spending every day with her grandchildren, gardening and vacationing.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 11:00 am at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, with a visitation for family and friends from 9:00 am until the service.
