Mrs. Janey Rebecca Clark Farmer, 95, of Gulfport, MS, died Monday, March 9, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Farmer was a native and life-long resident of the Orange Grove Community. Her grandfather, William Walton Clark, received a homestead from the United States Government in the 1800aÌââ¢s, a portion of which was passed to Mrs. Farmer. Mrs. Farmer resided on this property all of her life. She attended Nugent United Methodist Church in Orange Grove and was a member since the age of 15. She was married to Buford Farmer for 52 years until his death in 1987.
Mrs. Farmer (MAW) was a wonderful Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Henry Clark, her mother, Pearl Emily Priddy, and her husband Buford Farmer; brothers, William Clark, Howell Clark, and Charles Clark.
She is survived by daughters Patsy Farmer and Jane Riemann, both of Gulfport; grandsons, Kris Riemann (Ginger) of Gulfport and Kyle Riemann (Julie) of Brandon, MS; great grandchildren, Sydney and Alexandra Riemann of Gulfport and Lane, Jonathan, and Nicholas Riemann of Brandon, MS. Pallbearers will be Kris Riemann, Kyle Riemann, Mike Farmer, Arnold Clark, Wesley Philips, and Ralph Anderson.
The Celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. till 10:00 a.m. with funeral services following at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Coalville Cemetery.
Her family wishes to thank the staff of Memorial Hospital @ Gulfport and especially, the Lakeview Nursing Center for their care during the past years.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nugent United Methodist Church in Gulfport.
