Janet Kay Thompson, 63, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019 in Laurel, Mississippi.
Janet was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma on June 8, 1955. She graduated from Bishop Ward High School in Kansas City, Kansas and formerly lived in Shawnee, Kansas. She has been a resident of Richton, Mississippi for the past three years. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant working as a Caregiver.  Janet loved animals and she was of the Catholic faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper Augustino Alonge and Doris Fay Hunter Alonge.
Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Kenneth "Ken" Larry Thompson of Richton, MS; step-children, Kelly Thompson and Larry D. Thompson;  sister, Toni Risalvato and her husband, John of Harlingen, Texas; her brother, Joseph Alonge and his wife, Kris of Tonganoxie, Kansas and their daughters, Asa Alonge and Katie Alonge of Olathe, Kansas.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, April 4th followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.  Interment will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
