Janet Weeks Cothern, 50, resident of Gulfport, died, Thursday, October 12, 2006 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Cothern was born in Noblesville, IN. She was a lifelong resident of Gulfport. Mrs. Cothern was employed at the Air National Guard Base for 23 years. She enjoyed sports and was a Christian.
Mrs. Cothern is preceded in death by her parents, Dennis Weeks and Matrah Sellers Smith.
She is survived by her children, Brandi Colburn Stanley and husband Bo of Houston, TX, and Kodie Mayberry of Gulfport; two sisters, Carolyn Saddler and husband Harvey of Little Rock, AR, and Betty Daniel of Gulfport; favorite aunt, Jean Sheffield of Moultrie, GA; two grandchildren, Scott and Lauren Stanley; one niece and four nephews; and many special friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 15, 2006 from 11:00-2:00 p.m. at Gulf Coast Funeral Homes, Inc, Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will in the Pine Ridge Gardens section of Evergreen Gardens in Gulfport.
