Janet Ladner Clark, born Janet Favre on October 26th, 1927, in Kiln, MS, was called away peacefully on Saturday, May 27th, 2023, at the age of 95. She was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for and nurturing her family.
Janet will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She loved working in her flower gardens and was passionate about knitting, sewing, and crocheting. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends over coffee. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her sons, Kenny (Linda) Ladner and Wayne (Karen) Ladner; daughter, Mary Hillman; brothers Thomas Favre and Larry Favre; daughter-in-law, Ann McDonald Ladner; Grandchildren, Gina (Kenny) Moran, Bobby Ladner, Janet Ladner, Michael (Alicia) Ladner, Michelle (Gabriel) Jacobs, Patrick (Jeniffer) Hillman, Morgan Hillman, Aubrey Ladner, Keri (Robert) Milczarek and Tammy (Katie) Ladner; twenty great-grandchildren River Row, Garrett Moran, Jesse Ladner, Emilee Ladner, Kalah Ladner, Halie Ladner, Mallory Ladner, Lexi Ladner, Miles Jacobs, Gemma Jacobs, Madilyn Deal, Camden Ladner, Kaleb Milczarek, Aubrey Milczarek, Hannah Milczarek, Preston Milczarek, Corbin Milczarek, Bryce Milczarek, Rebecca Reeves, and Travis Reeves, along with one great-great-grandchild, Finely Mae Ladner.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Favre; mother, Justine Favre; first husband, Houston Joseph Ladner; second husband, Edwin Thomas Clark; infant child, Phillip Ladner; oldest son, James "Pat" Ladner; grandson, Jimmy Ladner; son-in-law, Donald Hillman; sisters, Laverne Sork, Gladys Necaise, Elaine Favre Cestone, Rita Hundley, and Marilyn Potts; brothers, Alton Favre, Douglas Favre, Anthony Favre, and Marion “Butch” Favre.
A visitation will be held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pass Christian on Friday, June 2nd, 2023, from 10:00 until 11:00 AM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 11:00 AM. This will be followed by an interment at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
