Janet Martin Benoit entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 15 surrounded by family at the age of 80 years.
Survived by former husband, Roy Benoit, beloved mother of Darell Benoit (Shelia), Susan Benoit Neyrey (Nick), Cynthia Benoit Landry (Brent) and Donna Benoit Smith (Jim). Also, survived by sister, Gloria Daigle, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her mother and father, Leola Chauvin & Stanley Martin, brothers, Gerard, Sr. and Willard Martin, sister, Nettie Galtier and special nephew, Gerard ""Jerry"" Martin, Jr.
She was born in Franklin, LA, raised in Terrebone Parish, resided in Belle Chasse, LA later retiring to the Gulf Coast area. Her passion in life was gardening.
A special thanks for support to Camellia Home Health & Hospice. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Ave., Gretna, LA behind the Chapel of Faith Bldg. from 9-11 am, Wednesday, June 20, 2012. In lieu of flowers, masses & prayers preferred.
