Jane Wortel

Jane Runnels Wortel, age 82 of Gulfport, passed away on August 21, 2018.
She was a native of Ellisville, MS and a lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Jewel Runnels; and her siblings, Mary Jo Miller, Jim Runnels, and Mike Runnels.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Edward Wortel; her children, Carol Taylor, of Gulfport, MS, Michael Litherland (Johnna), of Dallas, TX, Teresa Wheeler (Jason), of Lakeville, MN, and Scott Foster, of Biloxi, MS; her grandchildren, Andrew Taylor, Jena Craver, Jordan Kennedy, Kailey Fernando, Makenzie Wheeler, Kristian Port, and Nicholas Port; great grandchildren, Destiny Foster, Rachel Foster, and Meaghan Brown; and great great grandchildren, Ty Garcia, Skylar Dennis, Carly Jane Kennedy, and Carson Brown.
Family was her life.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Jane loved the magic of the Christmas Season, and she enjoyed decorating, cooking, and entertaining.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 24, 2018 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS, with a visitation for family and friends from 10:00 AM until the service.  Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
