Jane Slade

Jane Clayton Slade, beloved wife and mother, born April 9, 1933 passed through this world to be with the Heavenly Father on September 4, 2008, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Slade worked at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport for 20 years in the ER. She truly loved her work, and she had many, many friends that returned that love to her. She loved her family and her pets dearly, and she will be sadly missed.
Mrs. Slade is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Partin Slade of Gulfport; children, Mike (Pam) Slade, Gary Slade, David Slade, and Cathy (Hiram) King; brother, Brian D. Nichols; sisters, Marilyn McMahon and Karen E. Nichols; and her loving grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2008, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, where friends may call from 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2008, at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with burial to follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Humane Society of South MS, 2615 Hwy. 49, Gulfport, MS 39501, or American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org.
