Jane Morrison

Jane Brito Morrison, age 96 of Biloxi, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warner E. Morrison; her father, Abraham Brito; her mother, Catalina Gonzalez Brito; and other family members, Juan Gonzalez Navarre, Pedro “Pete” Brito, Marcella Navarrete Urias Daughtery, Maria Brite Esparza, Dorothy Brito, Lon Brito, and Efigenia “Gwena” Navarrete Fernandez.

Jane is survived by her children, William Morrison (Tamara), and Shirley Halliburton; sibling, Lon Brito; her grandchildren, Rachel Gillenwater, Zach Morrison, and Sarah Metz; her great-grandchildren, Bryce, Ashton, and Adley Gillenwater, Isaac Morrison, Lyons, and Charlotte Metz.

Jane was a native of El Paso, Texas and a resident of Biloxi, MS, where she worked at McElroy’s Seafood Restaurant and Josette’s. She enjoyed doing yoga, playing with her grandchildren, and cooking big family dinners. She was a devout and faithful parishioner at Our Lady of Fatima Church.

Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Fatima, Friday, October 8, 2021, from 10:00-11:00am.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am at the church. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery at 12:30PM.

Donations can be made to St. Jude’s research hospital.
