James Walker

James O. Walker 85, of Lucedale, MS and formerly of Gulfport, MS passed away on December 24, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.  James was born on December 18, 1938 in Atmore, AL,.   He was formerly a resident of Gulfport, MS and a longtime resident of Lucedale, MS.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Nell Walker; parents, Charner Walker & Blaney Kirby Walker; father-in laws & mother in laws, Rupert & Pearl Johnson.  Also, preceding him in death were his five brothers and one sister.

James served honorably in the United States Army & Air Force for over 20 years.  He also worked as a Real Estate Broker for many years.  James loved and served the Lord and was a member of Promise Land Assembly of God Church in Lucedale, MS.

James is survived by his special niece and care giver, Donna Carruthers.  He also leaves behind to cherish his memory numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home- Gulfport Chapel (11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport).  His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home Chapel.  Graveside Services with Military Honors will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
