James Bransford """"JB"""" Throneberry, age 86 and a resident of Diamondhead, MS, was born on July 24, 1923, and died on December 4, 2009.
""""JB"""" retired from the U.S. Navy in 1968, having served in World War II and the Vietnam War. Mr. Throneberry was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mary Throneberry; his two sons, Tommy Gene - Decanter, Steve Dixon - MO, his sister, Martha Rinkle - CA, his four step-sons, James Dollar - Diamondhead, Larry Dollar - Diamondhead, Dean Dollar - Long Beach, Donald Dollar - Ft Lauderdale, his two step-daughters, Sally Dollar - Diamondhead, Tracy Schonewitz - Biloxi, MS Pallbearers will be James Dollar, William Schonewitz, Joshua Dollar, Kenith Crose, Casey Crose, and Drandy Vincent.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at 12:30 p.m. at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS, with full military honors rendered by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. For more information, please call (228)539-9800.
