James Ternyak, 71, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Gautier, MS. He was a United States Navy Seabee and served during the Vietnam War. He was a native of Flat Rock, MI and was a resident of Gautier, MS for the past 17 years. He enjoyed fishing, his dog Cookie and Mardi Gras. He was the man with a million jokes and life of the party.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Ternyak; mother and step father, Grace Pokol and Charles Pokol.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Tammy Ternyak of Gautier, MS; son, Jim Ternyak (Jeana) of Pascagoula, MS; 2 daughters, Jennifer Parker (Dave) of Gautier, MS and Susan Evans (Joel) of Biloxi, MS; brother, Mark Pokol of MI; 6 grandchildren, Sarah Ternyak, Matt Ternyak, Justin Evans, Chase Evans, Jack Parker and Mack Parker.
A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Biloxi is serving the family.
