MSgt James A. Stewart, USAF, Ret, age 69, of Gulfport, passed away on November 7, 2010 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Adah Stewart; and a brother, Charles Stewart.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Maxine Stewart of Gulfport; two children, Synthia Walker and her husband, David, of McHenry, and James E. Stewart and his wife, Stacy, of Lawrenceville, GA; three brothers; one sister; six grandchildren, James D. Stewart, Hayley Walker, Courtney Kelley, Abby Kelley, Jada Stewart, and Emma Stewart; and one great grandchild, Destiny Stewart.
Having served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War, he retired after twenty three years from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sergeant. He was a big fan of country music, especially enjoying Willie Nelson classics.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home chapel. Burial with full military honors will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
