James ""Jim"" Lawrence Stephens, age 56, of Long Beach, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 after a long battle of heart and kidney disease.
Jim was born August 12, 1954 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Alvin Stephens; mother, Emma June Sharp Stephens; and brothers, Lyle and Walter. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Campbell; brothers, Bill and Floyd Stephens; his life-long friend and companion, Nena Lasserre; five sons, Jeremy Stephens, Robert, John and Scott Cornelson and D.J. Palmer; two daughters, Shonna Stephens and Trisha Palmer; numerous grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held and memorial contributions may be made to the Heart or Kidney Associations.
