Mr. James E. Sprinkle Jr., age 64, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010.
Mr. Sprinkle, a resident of Pass Christian, Mississippi, was born in 1945 in New Orleans, La. to James E. Sprinkle, Sr. and Laura Benefield Sprinkle. He graduated from Chalmette High School in 1963 and from the University of Southwestern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1969. Employed as an architect for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Mobile, he retired in 1999.
Mr. Sprinkle is preceded in death by his parents and by his infant sister, Sandra. He is survived by his two children, Lauren Sprinkle Hymel and David James Sprinkle, both of Long Beach; his sister, Etta Sprinkle Licciardi of Lafitte, La.; his six grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Cocoa.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1301 31st Avenue, Gulfport, MS 39501, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St Matthew Lutheran Church, or to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
