James Shambarger

James Vernier Shambarger, age 75, passed away December 2, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mae Eleanor Headrick Shambarger and H.J. “Jack” Shambarger.

James is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Jo Ashley Shambarger; his children, Melissa D. Doligale (John) and Wallace W. Reynolds Jr.; his sister, Debra Louise Shambarger Wade (David); his grandchildren, John T. Doligale V, Lauren M. Doligale, Justin G. Reynolds, and Jared W. Reynolds; one niece, Cortney Wade Huffman; 2 nephews, Corey Benjamin Wade and Matthew Adrian Wade.

He was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, was a native of Laurel, Mississippi and was a resident of Long Beach and Gulfport, Mississippi. James served the United States Navy as a Gunners Mate-E5 and received the National Service Defense Metal. He was retired from the Mississippi Power Company as a lineman. James enjoyed fishing, golf, going to the gun range and spending time with his family and friends.

A visitation will be from 9 - 11am, Friday, December 10, 2021 at Riemann Family Funeral Home in Gulfport. A celebration of life will be after the visitation at 11 am, Friday, December 10, 2021.

The Family would like for the men to wear fishing shirts, khakis and fishing shoes if possible.
