James Sellier

James “Jerry” Sellier, Sr., age 79 of Delisle, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021.

He graduated from Pass Christian High School and served in the U.S. Navy.  While enlisted, he reached the rank of Aviation Machinist Mate 2nd Class.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Mae and Harold Sellier.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Melba Ladner Sellier; his children, Angela Sellier (Daniel Gargosh), Marion Taylor (Gregory), and James Jerry Sellier, Jr. (Amanda); his siblings, Glenn Sellier (Jerry Ann) and Donna Sellier Ladner (Tommy); and his grandchildren, Abigail Taylor, Ella Coleman, Allison Taylor, Lily Sellier, Sophie Sellier, and James Jerry “Tripp” Sellier, III.

He was a truck driver for over 50 years.  He loved and mechanics and carpentry and could fix or build just about anything.

Jerry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He was loved by family and friends alike. He will be dearly missed by all.

A visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, November 27,2021, from 10:00am until 11:00 am, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Pass Christian.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am, at the church, followed by interment in New Delisle Cemetery.
