James Clifford Plummer, Sr. of Gulfport went to be with Our Lord on Monday April 23, 2012. He was born in Long Beach, MS and raised in Woolmarket, MS. He was in the Navy during the Korean Conflict and served our country valiantly. He was then employed with Plummer Construction until his retirement. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Lyman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton M. Plummer, Sr. and Nancy McInnis Plummer; sisters, Virginia Plummer Fayard, and Evelyn Plummer Cunsolo; brothers, Clinton M. Plummer Jr., William T. Plummer, and Herbert N. Plummer.
Survivors include his loving wife, Regina Anne Plummer; sons, James C. Plummer Jr. (Penny) of Hattiesburg, and Emmitt S. Plummer of Gulfport; four stepchildren, Debbi Passaglia (Mike), Robert Johnson, Linda M. Hennen (David), and Nick Sisson; brother, Norris Plummer (Betty) of Woolmarket; sisters, Stella Plummer Paige of Woolmarket and Dixie Plummer Schankin of Gulfport; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to Lakeview Nursing Home and Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care.
Funeral services will be at Lakeview Baptist Chruch, Highway 53, Lyman, on Friday, April 27, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until service time. Interment will be at Finley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Lakeview Baptist Church, 18233 Highway 53, Gulfport, MS 39503.
